800 grader has lately been witnessing an exponential increase in popularity and begins to gain recognition as one of Stockholm’s better pizzerias. Two community tables and an open kitchen welcome you as you step into this place. I really do like this setting and think it is just right in time, even though table sharing creates a bit«discomfort» amongst some Swedes… The menu, which is nicely painted on a blackboard, is reduced but thoughtful and in constant change. The ingredients are of high quality and seasonally selected. I ordered their Taleggio pizza with Portobello, arugula, fried celeriac and red onion. The crispy and thin base along with the well-composed ingredients made me very pleased. I will definitely revisit this place soon. PS. I overheard during my visit that they are figuring out how to develop and expand the menu a bit, and will probably in the near future add a few other dishes besides pizzas. Time will tell!
