Well, I’ve failed you all. When I came to Singapore, I told myself that I’d never patronize a Starbucks. There are a ton of local places that have legit coffee and I’d rather support«the little guys».(Not to mention, I’ve grown to like the basic kopi!) However, I had to cave. I was meeting my husband at his office so we could go to the airport together. I arrived early and he wasn’t ready yet. I was already hungry and thirsty, as dragging a 7 kg carry-on luggage through the MRT and Friday rush hour traffic in CBD will do that to you! I saw this Starbucks in Lobby A of 1 George Street, and noticed it is now open and functional. With a heavy sigh, I took the FAIL card out of my wallet and proceeded towards this beacon of corporate America. I decided on the fancily named soy apricot muffin and a tall iced latte. Total? $ 9.40(eye roll) 2 stars for the price, but 3 stars for the location, convenience, and assistance in taming my hunger to ensure«Hangry Michelle» doesn’t make an appearance. :)
