After having lunch at monster curry. I decided to hit up dessert story and try another one of their snow ice creation. Yogurt snow ice was the decision and I loved that it came with all the little tadpole pearl like jellies. And the peaches were nice as it added sweetness to the dessert. For $ 4.20 it was big enough to be shared by 3 :) a cool and refreshing dessert for a very hot Tuesday afternoon!

I paid money to eat here, and I’m not quite sure why. A bunch of us had dinner in a restaurant a couple floors down, but needed some dessert, so we thought we’d check this place out. They’ve got a pretty big variety of hot and cold desserts, but as I’m thinking about it, if people can do it in food courts and hawker centres, they can do it here — except because they’re a shop in a mall, so they’re bound to be pricier. That should have been a warning sign. Anyhow, we picked a couple of items, including a snow-ear fungus soup, and chendol, and when we got them… wow. And this is not a good wow. The snow-ear soup came in a bowl that a child could slurp up in two minutes — and I’m probably being kind. The chendol was a decent size for $ 3.50, but it was a heck of a lof of coconut milk snow ice, and not much else. Also, why am I eating out of a cardboard bowl, if I ask to eat here? I’m hoping someone else opens up a dessert place in Nex — I need options, stat.

Tried the mango pomelo which wasn’t good. They are too stingy with the pomelo and they made it too sweet. Though there were big chunky mango pieces, they were cut too big to be a nice bite size. The tao suan also tasted too starchy. Probably will not return. It’s not worth my precious calories.
