Needed a drink and food after walking round the walls, this was the first by the steps, was really surprised by the food and staff. If you want a snack this is one place to look at

2nd visit today, cycled over from Leeds, sadly the bacon butty wasn’t quite hot, but still 5* sorted out with a smile and a genuine apology !
This place is amazing and quirky… If you’re friend goes to the loo… Be warned, they maybe sometime ! This is nothing to do with the mechanics, there’s just so much to look at before you get there (or on the way back depending on the urgency of the situation).
Great choice of building for what they’ve done!
I suspect it’ll only get even better with time.
Happy smiley staff too, always a bonus!

Interesting themed café and bike shop (you don’t see that combination everyday!) located just inside Micklegate Bar, York. I discovered this place just two days after opening. Great find! I really enjoyed the wooden «shed like» décor and the quirky bike theme. The format is café like, and the menu seems fairly standard, but the location and décor make it a hit in my book!
