Yummy Chicken is my favourite take away in York. They make everything to order and it’s worth the wait for the food. They add a nice spicy paprika to their chips which is really tasty. The chicken is good, and even the veggie burgers are great. They’re open very late, so a nice place to stop on your way back from the bar or pub. Another small but important thing I like about Yummy Chicken: It’s clean. It doesn’t have the grubby dirty feel that many take aways have. The staff are also friendly. I’ve eaten here several times and will continue to do so.

York Yummy chicken, it does exactly what it says on the tin!
It’s chicken, and its Yummy! I’ve never had a bad meal from here, both at tea time and on occasion, after a night on the ‘pop’.
The chicken is always freshly cooked and is never greesy, or fatty like some fried chicken can be, and the chips are always nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle!
They do a variety of meal options, 2 piece, 3 piece etc, with a choice of colslaw/salad or beans!
In addition to chicken, they serve kebabs which I am assured are very good, they also do pizza!
