I notice the reviews here for this restaurant are good but my experience was very average. I popped in alone for a light snack and to rest my feet. I’d been Christmas shopping. It was quiet; there was no other person in although it would fill up towards the end of my lunch. I liked the décor. It is warm, inviting but with a contemporary feel. The temperature is good and so it is comfortable. The staff were pleasant enough and didn’t hurry me at all and so I cannot fault them there. It may just have been the dish I had ordered: a tuna salad, simple enough and so I was really surprised to be given tinned tuna. I think it should have been explained on the menu but perhaps my expectations were too high. As the reviews are good, however I will visit this restaurant again and try a pizza.

We have never had a bad meal here. the past AND Pizza are both great. Really tasty and not that expensive too. they do a lunchtime menu at the moment 2 courses for £7. The atmosphere in here is lovely. the staff are very polite and accomodating, although if you are obviously there with a loved one they leave you alone too ;o) Well recommended.

This is my favourite restaurant in York. This Italian has fantastic food, fab service and great décor. The prices are very reasonable, similar to those at Pizza Express. I’d recommend that you try their doughballs, they’re my favourite.
