The Churchill Hotel

Can only comment on the Xmas dinner package but the food and service were first-​rate for the price. Bar prices were as steep as you’d expect from a hotel bar but the décor in the public areas & toilets was tasteful.

Churchills is a huge grand looking hotel. I’ve not stayed but been for sunday lunch a while ago and it was lovely with great service. Would love to stay there but I live in York so there’s not much point!

We got a last min deal on this hotel via the Internet and got great value for money this was the nicest boutique style hotel I have ever stayed in would love to stay here again

I did not book this hotel but another hotel had apparently overbooked and therefore they moved me into here.
The Churchill is a 3* hotel and is very grand indeed and I would have expected it to be a 4*
Parts of the hotel are based on a Winston Churchill theme.
The restaurant is extremely top class and most of the customers were locals.
No dress code mentioned but everyone was well dressed.
The service was 100% and the location was only minutes walk away from the city wall.
Parking is free.
Everything about this hotel is very good and if I had to give a negative feedback it could only be on the room size.
Some rooms are quite small but to be fair so are many city centre hotels.
