Spurriergate Centre

Wonderful place with the kindest people you’ll ever meet! A highlight of central York

A god send for Mummies! this is a beautiful café that is more than happy to cater for parents and children!
I found when my daughter was young and still feeding, the staff were very attentive and found us a quite table where my daugher could feed and my partner and I could enjoy a lovely hot drink and a slice of cake, the cakes and pastries oh and not to mention the scones are superb!
There is also I lovely selection of hot food and snacks aswell, so don’t worry — the bigger apepeties are catered for too!
The atmosphere at the Spurriergate centre is amazing, It’s an old church building so when you go in, you really feel like you’re getting away from the bussle of the city!
Well worth a visit!

This is a lovely café/​eatery right in the centre of york, the surroundings are great, and as its based inside a chapel/​church building, its a lovely old stone building, which is a nice change compared to come of the more modern places. The spurriergate sells many different things from hot and cold drinks, to snacks and hot meals. I would recommend the chocolate cake myself but thats just me. They also have a shop which is split up into gifts and books on the ground floor, and some clothing items upstairs. Lovely place to pop into on your way round york for a cuppa.
