I really enjoy the atmosphere of old bookshops. Having said that, I found the prices to be a bit too high for many worn, secondhand books. Their overall selection is decent for their size, so it’s worth popping into if you’re in the area.

A good place for second hand books, they have a vast selection. I find they are a little more expensive here than in other charity shops, but the books are usually in very good condition. The record section is often worth a rummage through too, some good stationery and at this time of year some excellent Christmas cards and good prices. Friendly staff.

One of my favourite shops in town. A good selection of fiction, non-​fiction, cds, dvds and new Oxfam fairtrade goods.
Oxfam always do a great range of cards, diaries and stationery, and are bound to have some interesting new or secondhand gifts for Christmas.
