Morrisons Supermarket

I would give 5 stars for the café and I am a big fan of their reasonable priced meals and good quality coffee. I regularly go there once or twice a week. For the supermarket, I give 4 stars. The only disappointment is that they welcome you first thing is the the smelly fishy taste once you go into their store. Therefore I try to get into the store from the rear side, rather than from the front door.

This is a really lovely Morrissons. The Market Place I think is one of the best I ahve seen. Veeery fresh food and at reasonable prices. the Salad Bar is wonderful in particular and the fresh bread section is wonderful. The store itself seems well run and is very clean and well maintained. The staff are always ready to have a giggle and always have a smile. There is plenty of parking available also.

This Morrisons store is fairly new to York and is located on Foss Islands road.
Morrisons offers what you would expect from a large supermarket chain — but it is a little different.
Morrisons ‘market place’ is a unique set out for a supermarket and you can find fresh fruit and veg along side a fish monger and butchers where just like the advert shows you, the staff will be more than happy to talk you through whatever cut of meat you require or even fillet your fish for you.
There is also a bakery and rotisserie offering yummy treats such as pork pies and sausage rolls as well as hot roast chickens.
Another good point worth mentioning about Morrisons is that they do from time to time do brilliant offers. It’s worth looking out for them on the internet or in your local paper.

A new Morrisons supermarket between Foss Islands Road and James street near to the centre of the city of York.
It is large enough to have a full range of goods that you would expect of Morrisons and is conveniently located for York city centre. Being brand new it is also clean and specious,
There is also a large car park with petrol station and car wash available. Petrol & Diesel is usually the cheapest in York as Morrison’s always seem to be the first retailer to announce price changes.
This store is also on the same site as a large Homebase store and Frankie & Benny’s restaurant!
