A nice pub that is also a B&B with a good view of the amazing York Minster. Friendly service in the pub and just what I needed — a cold beer! Hooray for breweries!
They have a decent menu of traditional pub foods, though I wasn’t there for the food or the bed.

A V-​shaped pub just round from York Minster, it’s a nice place for a drink at any time except Friday or Saturday nights, when it gets rammed full of people on a night out.
For the rest of the time it’s a fairly friendly if character-​less pub where you’ll probably get seats, the beer’s reasonably priced despite being in York’s Tourist Zone, and it’s not intimidating.
