We did the Friday night «Bloody Tour of York» with Mad Alice. My wife and I actually found this walking tour on Trip Advisor as it is the number one rated tour there.
She does a fantastic job taking you around to see the sights of York and giving you the history of the city. As you can guess based on the name of the tour — it isn’t pleasant history — very bloody and gruesome. With that being said if you have kids I don’t think it would be a problem taking them along for the tour.
It addition Mad Alice did a great job of making it an interactive tour for the group and made an effort to get to know the other people on the tour — something I haven’t seen other tour guides do.
The walking tour itself takes about 90 minutes and covers about 2 kilometres. For only £5.00 per person it is well worth it!
