Ask – York

Ask is a chain of italian restaurants. I dined at the York branch a while ago and was really dissapointed. I ordered a vegetable pizza as I’m a vegetarian and it arrived with beef on it. I told the waiter and he brought back what was clearly the same (now cold) pizza with the meat literally picked off it. I complained but was offered no refund or apology. I had chocolate cake for dessert which was nice but the main course really ruined it for me. However I’ve dined at other Ask restaurants and they’ve been amazing, so I don’t know if this is just a bad branch, or if it was simply a one off bad occasion. If the restaurant is normally this poor then that would be a shame as the assembly rooms which house the restaurant is a stunning building.
