Its very difficult to find fault with places such as Arnot House, as they focus on paying attention to detail and they’re very good at what they do. This place is a small, family run guest house located centrally in York. there are actually only three bedrooms, so its a world away from the 100 + bedroom larger hotels and probably much mor suited to an olde worlde place such as York as a result. All rooms are very comfortable and full of charm and come with either an en suite shower room or bathroom. The breakfasts here are immense — certainly among the sbest I’ve tasted while I’ve been on my travels. Choose from a range of fruit or cereal and then enjoy a cooked engligh breakfast, or, if you prefer, a vegetarian option or even salmon or kippers. Its a friendly place, and ideal to use as a base to explore York or places further afield. Highly recommended.
