Overall very good. Ordered for 4 people and 3 out of 4 mains were great. The lamb tikka starter that one of us had for a main was really tough and chewy. Hence the 4 star. The rest was great. 3 starters (one as a main) 4 popadoms with sauces, 2 rice and 2 naan came to £50. Wouldn’t say it was cheap, but I’ve paid more.

The food and service here is only mediocre and certainly does not justify the very high prices; there are many other restaurants in the area where you can enjoy a meal of the same or higher quality for much less. The décor is a bit cold and unwelcoming I think it’s supposed to be modern but is just off putting.

Anise is by far the best curry house in the area. The chicken is quality and marinated properly. Beer is good, stocks Cobra on tap. Price is good for what you get. If you want to save it does take out and you get 20% off.

Anise is without a doubt the best indian restaurant in the Wrexham area. It is also the most expensive.
Whether you regard it as value for money or not depends on how much you care for the quality of your food. The food is excellent and the service polite and efficient. Anise is always my first choice for an indian in Wrexham and on the weekend it is essential to book to get in there.
My only real reservation about Anise is the cost of drink in there. Tiny bottles of Strongbow for £3 (Making it over £6 a pint) mean that I find it difficult to settle there as, despite the quality of the food, I feel I’m being ripped off.
Considering the atmosphere at some of the other indians I’ve been too, perhaps Anise deliberatly put a premium on the drink to make sure its not full of pi**heads. It works. The place has a great atmosphere and is certainly worth a visit to make up your own mind.

I love this restaurant. The food is fantastic and very good value for money. They have a huge table in its own section of the restaurant which you can book for large parties. Would definately recommend coming here with friends for special occasions.
The service is very efficent.
They also have the option of takeaway food.
