Beales Department Stores

Good old fashioned department store. Staff are courteous and take time to help with choosing matches for colour etc. Lift is at the back of the store in the make up department near the back stairs. Looking for a special occasion outfit or just jeans, they have a great choice in various label departments. Only downside is lack of or not on high enough air con. Still give it five stars as a lovely place to browse

I used to love this store, even though the layout was a little hard to work with it was fun to explore. Fast forward to now, when I have a baby in a pushchair/​stroller and I am trying to get to the bits I want to as quick as possible… not loving it so much.
The toy department of the store is up a flight of stairs, I found the stairs and the escalator but couldn’t see the elevator/​lift and there was no staff member available to ask at that time so I ended up leaving without looking!
I shall go back and see if I can find the elevator/​lift and then edit the review. I love the selection, still like the layout (from a browsing on my own point of view) but being unable to find a lift/​elevator or find a free member of staff left me a little bemused this time!

Very well-​stocked store, an improvement on the Horsham branch. Especially like the Men’s fitting dept. This store had an in-​store reduction day yesterday but even then people weren’t buying. Good price on Carducci shirts and on Italian silk ties. Couldn’t resist
