I recently went to this restaurant, The New Inn. I must say that I was really impressed with the taste of the buffet food. The selection was not that great but the food tasted quite nice. Staff were very polite even though my nephew nearly ruined their icecream machine Lol. Chic interior, with good lighting effect. I was also very impressed by the way the tables and chairs were arranged, which made it spacious. They also have a pub attached to the restaurant, from what I gathered, it used to be a pub. It also has a teppanyakki bar service, for all those who do not know what is a teppanyakki(hope I spelt it right) means it is basically a service which allows you to choose fresh ingredients such as meat, vegetable, noodle, sea food and sometimes sauce and then you hand it to the chef who cooks it in front of you, cool! It is much better if there is a wide range of variety. The choice of fresh ingredient was annoyingly limited in this restaurant and also it did not tast great, as the noodles was quite dry. It was very disapointing. The only problem I had with them was the price kids paid. Adults were charged £8.99 and children under 150 cm where charged 6.99, I think that is ridiculous as most restaurant charge kids about halfprice of adult’s fee. Especially as all my nephew had was some chips and sausages, Kids eh? Verdict: nice tasty buffet food, very tasteless teppanyakki Request: bring children’s fee down and sort out your teppanyakki !

This is not a pub anymore — it’s been turned into a large buffet style chinese restaurant. So it’s probably reviewed on here elsewhere.
