think the staff are a joke the service was awful. had to send meals back to kitchen on several visits. shame cos it is a nice pub and is in a good location

Nice pub suitable for everyone. Right next to a small field, and if that’s not good enough there is a park for under 12s at the rear. There is a full bar and plenty of tables for restaurant customers. There are lots of tables outside for when the weather is good and the inside is warm and cost when it’s cold. Good favourite of mine, best in the summer. However it is a very popular place so reserve early if you plan to go for dinner.

A few mixed experiences. Great for Sunday roast with the kids in the summer, with the excellent garden. Service is a bit mixed depending on who’s behind the bar — can be good but has also bordered on rude. Menu other than roast is a bit limited and somewhat processed.

We wne there for a sunday lunch a few weekends ago, great carvery, of which there are not many in woking, and really good playarea outside, clean garden, thorough recommended.

Absolutely brilliant place for families, without feeling you’re in a family establishment (read: twee, generic, bland). The menu offers a great selection, but I have to say, if you get anything other than the carvery on a Sunday (and now Tuesday nights!), you’re obviously mad. It’s delicious! The children’s menu was generous, with all the usual offerings. It has a beautiful garden with picnic tables to the back, plus a brilliant climbing frame for kids. One bank holiday we went, there was also a bouncy castle, which made for very happy (and ultimately hungry) children. Service is what you’d expect from a pub, but I have to say, one waitress we had while sat in the older part of the pub (mind your head on the beams!) really went out of her way to be helpful and friendly.
I look forward to any excuse to visit this restaurant, it’s always a nice, relaxing place to go.
