Vansittart Arms

Excellent little pub. Food was good, service was prompt, and bar staff were very friendly. Was in Windsor for the night and made an excellent choice in where to dine. Would go again.

if you like good cheep food and a nice worm open fire than you may want to try the Vansittart. Down some back roads in the heart of Windsor, you will find a little pub that is well kept and with a nice garden.
Inside you will be welcomed by friendly staff with a large range of drinks and ales.
My kids were also welcome and we’re offered a candy canes from off the Xmas tree, as long as they eat all the dinner
We order food from the menu which was simply but covered all area’s. My daughter ordered fish and chips which was very good and far better then I expected.
Looking around the pub, it could do with the inside being updated but it is still a nice place.
If you want to go where the locals go then you won’t go wrong here.
Oh yes it’s cheep as well.

A recent change of menu, today actually, brings a lot more choice. Good beer, pleasant staff and proper pub food.

The Vansittart Arms is particularly good in the summer when you can sit in the big beer garden. It’s a lovely traditional English pub and has a really relaxed atmosphere. The food menu is limited, but everything I’ve had there has been tasty especially the chilli and portion sizes are really generous. This is a great pub to go to if you want to get out of the town centre.
