The Windsor and Eton bridge is a 8min walk from the castle gates, and if you still have enough energy after a full day of walking around Windsor Castle, take a walk down here for beautiful Thames river views and the swans swimming in the waters. It’s a pretty little bridge, with 4 benches and great for people watching.

closed a few years ago because the ‘weight of pedestrians’ was apparently risking the bridge collapsing– bridge was mended and reopened in 2002(for the queens jubilee) — so you can now stop at one of the nicest bridges along the thames without worrying about an untimely dip! Gets very busy with groups of tourists on weekends in the summer, but early mornings it makes a perfect stop to rest your legs on a run, or enjoy coffee and a croissant from one of the nearby cafes, while sitting on one of its benches watching the rowers, swans and boats make their way by.
