Maybe we were just unlucky but the quality of the food wasn’t even average. The fish cakes were dry and too fried. The sausages tasteless. On the upside the lady who served was really nice.

This place was amazing! a group of us stopped in for tea after visiting Windsor and loved it. They had the best Scotch Egg I have ever had! The staff was great and prices were fair. Great outdoor seating with a great view of the castle and the town of Windsor. This is a great family owned place and it is a must stop when in Windsor.

This restaurant was right next to the exit of Windsor Castle and proved to be a great place to refuel with a pint and some food. Amongst several other restaurants it was difficult to choose so we walked around looking at menus and everyone’s food. This restaurant in our opinion had the best value and quality. Bonus! High chairs available Negative — don’t expect to change your baby in this barroom, it’s up a winding staircase and is tiny. Although we had no problem changing my daughter on the other side of the street on a park bench. Don’t worry! We used a changing pad so don’t worry that you’ll be sitting in her poo. It’s a nice somewhat isolated area.

Don’t eat the breaded Mushrooms. They were cold in the middle and made me sick for the rest of the day.

My friend and I stopped in here to rest our feet and to enjoy some tea and scones while enjoying a view of the castle. It was absolutely perfect. The ambience had a quaint English vibe and the menu featured what you would expect from that setting. We didn’t order any food though so I can not attest to it’s tastiness or quality. We did order the tea and scones and it was perfect! I only wished that they weren’t getting close to closing — I probably would have stayed all evening.

This place serves up good, hearty English food and we got excellent service, especially the ale and cider recommendations from our server. My fish and chips were pretty decent and I appreciated that the fish wasn’t overtly oily. Also my peas were proper fresh produce, not something out of a can or reconstituted. My dining companion got a chicken and ham pie which he polished off and he said the accompanying mashed potatoes were especially delish. Glad we went here for lunch, thanks to comments from the other Unilocal reviews!

What a great 17fh century find right near Windsor Castle. Joe the Front End man was very gracious. We had the Chicken Pot Pie and a delicious beef stew. Excellent food and old world charm.

Food is absolutely fantastic and the old world charm of the place is great. Staff is super friendly and the owner Steve is always around for a chat. I highly recommend!

Are you kidding me??? English food at its finest… Stay away if you value your sense of taste. Food was bland and service so-so. Typical for England, yet does not deserve any recognition aside from its historic location.

The food is really good but I can only give the drury house 3 stars because the workers stand there and stare at you while you eat … we were very uncomfortable with that. Friendly yet creepy.

Be wary of Unilocal in the UK, some places carry stars they have yet to yearn. A three star review restaurant is likely to be over OR underrated. A fun experience but most items were 86’d and we waited forever for lunch. The service was wonderful and we were bought a round of drinks for our wait. Unfortunately, the gammon was painfully salty and the Shepard’s pie was not very good.

Go go go! You will not be disappointed by their hospitality, service and pride. I left feeling buoyant and satisfied on all counts. The servers were engaged, attentive, and happy to work there. They shared stories about growing up in the area and whether they had experience meeting Royalty or not. They were down-to-earth and delightful. We even got a view of the underground tunnel that Charles I had built for his mistress! The manager came out and chatted with his guests also. It was like eating at home surrounded by elegance; the perfect finishing touch to a day at the Windsor Castle!

We spotted the back of Drury House Restaurant while waiting in line to enter Windsor Castle, with its sign behind the restaurant identifying it as the oldest in Windsor. After spending a rainy few hours touring the Castle grounds, we were cold and starving, and walked across the street to give Drury House a try… I’m so glad we did! We started with traditional black tea(I loved the real odd-sized brown and white sugar cubes). I had the chicken pie with a cream sauce that was really delicious, and was so filling I didn’t have room left over for the homemade bread pudding special I had been eyeing. The delicious food, and atmosphere with the old school dark wood paneling, cozy dining area, traditional dumbwaiter delivery of the food from the kitchen, and roaring fire made this our favorite meal during our week in the London area. I will definitely go back the next time I’m in Windsor!
