Went here for a leaving do, there were about 15 of us so we ordered ahead. All the food came out together, which was good and the food service was friendly. I had cod and chips which looked good and tasted average. It would have been greatly improved by swapping the oven chips for proper fried chips as the cod was well cooked.
They had a good range of specials including a spicy bean burger and I’m sure I’ll be back as it’s so close to work. Let’s see if it moves up or down from average next time!

The best veg wellington roast ive had… the roast are huge & you also have the option for extra collycheese & mash… friendly service … very clean homely pub … Would def recommend…

Was awful. Went for lunch and the ashtrays that are attached to all the outside tables were full of fag ends and ash. Tried a platter. First time came with wrong order. Food very ordinary.

Nice pub food in a nice building. Great for soups or pies on a cold winter’s day sat by the fire, but equally good for drinks and salads in the pub garden in Summer.
Never had a bad meal. Service can get a little hectic especially on Father’s Day etc but thats to be expected really when it’s that busy.
A very comfortable 4.
Oh and make sure to check out the loo’s — they’re massive and got great windows! (This may only apply to the ladies, can’t say about the fellas!)
