The Horns

I love this Pub… Why live music!!!
I was always curious about the Horns! While I was I nerding out in the library, I will hear music blasting out of this pub so to finally get here was a joy to come to.
I was invited to my friends uncle’s band who were awesome!!! Horns have a cute little stage, but they all manage to fit. Their are pictures or memorabilia of 60s, 70, 80s bands. The atmosphere in the pub was great, everyone having a right olé knees up!
Depending on the style of music and the era it from the age range is over 45 but it was still good to see young people (18 – 35) still attend.
I spoke to the host, who’s said they have a showcase, or try every last Sunday of the month. That night after the main band was done, we got to hear young acoustic guitar singers who were really good.
Horns have a nice beer garden with big umbrella’s with mini heaters under them, due to the impending storm, the host would not put up, so we braved the rain for a bit.
Horns is a small pub, but with great seating for groups or on your own. Drinks are around £3:75 -£4.

At some point I’m looking forward to going back, because the have a DJ playing 80s and 90s on a Friday night. Or just to enjoy a drink!

Great for live music! CRAP for serving drinks! not only are the staff rude to you if they dont know your face but they seriously over charge you and think they can get away with it! NO apology from the server or the manager and SHE refused to give me the price list when questioned her!
Want a good night out dont go there unless you dont care to be over charged or threaten when questioned!

One of the few live music venue pubs in the area. Small and crowded with the occasional good band on offer but better in the summer when you can sit outside.

Good live music pub, Monday night is the original bands night. Sometimes have old touring acts on (Georgie Fame, Chas & Dave etc.), but unfortunately most of the nights are given over to covers & tribute bands (good ones though). Weekend is an older (middle aged) crowd so not really the place for young’uns. Good pub overall though.

A good place to watch live music and has a great Monday night session for up and coming bands. Can get very busy but has a very nice beer garden which gets packed in the summer.

Fantastic place if you like live bands although it gets very crowded and is probably for the slightly older crowd

Nice little pub with good beers and plenty of character.
