Expensive place, nice surrounding and good service. Food portions extremely small portions and unfortunately the chef does not know the difference between clotted cream and whipped cream. Although granted some of the food was pretty ok but portions way to small and over priced

Amazing bar that is definitely catered towards the more mature clientele. The atmosphere was very warm and I simply loved the décor. Food was nice and the staff are friendly. Will definitely be visiting there again.

This place is definitely shooting for the «older» patron. But I kind of like that. Even at busy times, it is relaxed and refined. at least by Watford standards that is…
I have been here a few times now, and have always loved the well-​stocked bar, great selection of food and excellent service.
My only gripe with the service is that it can be a little tough to get the servers attention.
Décor is great — a nice moody, low-​lit atmosphere.
Food — I love a lot of the Tapas-​inspired small dish treats on the menu, however, I do feel that they are over priced for what they are. To get a «meal’s worth» of food, you have to spend £16, in my opinion.
Toilets here… well at least the men’s are in need of an overhaul.
All round though, a great bar. I will be back.

Went along on a monthly Wednesday themed as a Cuban night. I am not sure which part of Cuba. The music played was jazz and despite the 2 piece group that played well, the service was very poor and when I asked to speak to the manager, she was as helpful as a brick wall. I offered advice to help but was greeted with a surly expression and the buzz fell flat on the night. Don’t bother if you like to dance because you will not be inspired

Love this bar although its a little pricey. Its a fantastic atmosphere (very different to other bars in watford) and the sunday lunch is impressive too.

Have to disagree with the ‘very small outside rear garden’ mentioned in the other review. This garden is a god send to Watford. Private, heated and lovely buzz to go with the rest of this unique drinking establishment. Also how many other gardens can you sit in and get waitress service for drinks rather than having to revisit the bar every time. Staff are top drawer with regards to eye candy & friendliness, male and female — well worth the visit in itself!

Bodega is Spanish for cellar which this place resembles in many ways except that there are no stairs (well only those that take you up to the toilets) and that you tend not to get charged £3 for a lime and lemonade in Madrid.
I was saw some live music there which was nice, but as is the way at Bodegas, people’s attention finally caves in to the myriad of half burned candles around the room. Put people and dripping wax together and you get… well very messy table tops.
There is also a very small outside rear garden with obligatory patio heater
