Been refurbished but not so you would know, A real Warrington pub with very friendly staff, but sadly the food is as poor as the décor, what a shame it’s the kind of place you want to be successful it’s a lovely old building in a good location

This is a very traditional pub on one of the main roads through Warrington as used by locals. By that, I mean it is heavily frequented by the community, but is a little out of the way for visitors to the area. This is a shame, as the atmosphere is very welcoming and they serve some excellent beers, spirits and wines.
I’ve never had occasion to eat here, but reports from friends are that it is reasonably priced and tasty.
One of the few pubs in Warrington which still has a car park which can fit more than 6 cars in!

Update; The new landlord is a friend, but I have not eaten here for a long time. The carpark is still good (despite the front part seeming to be a car sales pitch). t is still a welcoming pub, but it seems that the food has now become very basic, although excellent value.
