We went to A Cena for my husband’s birthday. We had a excellent meal. The place is classic and elegant. We had very good service and my Husband was very happy with this birthday meal. I would highly recommend. It is a little pricey so just be aware.

Great for a quiet evening meal. It has an authentic feel about it, not too contrived. Try to be seated at the sides and not in the middle where you may encounter a lot of ‘traffic’.
The food is lovely. Just enough rather than the meagre rations you get at some other restaurants. The menu may vary though from what you see online, so don’t go thinking you know what you’re going to have. The service was very good but thankfully not such that it almost becomes annoying. Definitely going again but may not have the sloe gin and prosecco aperetif — tastes fantastic but your head the next morning…

I went a 3rd time and I was a bit disappointed
service was giving us attitude
we called and reserved a table, but when we reached they could not find the reservation
although they were enough tables, they gave us a table that was terrible and definitely not for 3
food however excellent as usual

A Cena is an elegant, classic restaurant, with a bistro-​like design of wooden bar, stripped floors, pew seats, bare tables and dripping candles. Food is very nice, with a tendency to be rich (watch out for dishes described as ‘creamy’)
Service is fantastic, wine list is large and varied and the home-​made cheesecake is the finest dessert I’ve come across. A hidden gem.
