Went here recently for drinks with friends, lovely atmosphere and loved the pink prosecco! We didn’t eat but I would be interested in trying it here, lovely atmosphere and décor, slightly worried as it states ‘civilised pub for civilised people’ it might be stuffy and too quiet but we all enjoyed a good chat and laugh and the staff didn’t seem to mind at all!

Went here on a recent trip to Tunbridge Wells on a recommendation. The pub has a great atmosphere with really friendly staff.
The lunch menu was well mixed with plenty options to share and taste. We went for the allotment board to share for 4 adults and 2 kids which went down well and every last bit scraped from the board.
For main I had the roast butternut squash, blue cheese and chick peas. Wow — what a taste on a plate. Each mouthful washed down with some local ale.
Would highly recommend!

Everyone at Royal Tunbridge Wells suggested going to The Black Pig Pub so how could I say no. It is very clean, bright and airy inside. The food was extraordinary. I had the roast beef sandwich, my wife had the pork with fig sandwich and we both had local beer. The roast beef was very tastey and the pork with figs (although I thought it was an odd pairing) was exceptional. We thought it might be a bit too sweet but the chef prepared it just right. The staff is very knowledgeable about the food and the local area. We were told that they try to get all their produce locally. The only drawback is the cost. Lunch cost us between 30 – 40 pounds.

One of the best restaurants in Tunbridge Wells. Great focus on product sourcing — excellent seasonal vegetables, locally cured meats, and a well-​judged menu that changes as the year progresses. The cured pork products give the Italians a run for their money, and without those cursed food miles too. Service was stretched on a Friday night, but hey, where isn’t it? Everyone including the most demanding foodies will like The Black Pig. Root it out.

Dieser durchaus erträglich renovierte «Town-​Pub» gehört dem Inhaber des «George & Dragon» in Speldhurst. Die Küche ist auf ähnlichem Niveau. Gut zu Fuß aus der Innenstadt zu erreichen. Im Hof gibt es gottseidank einige Parkplätze, denn die Straße gibt da nichts her. Eine gute Alternative zu den Läden auf der «High-​Street»

I love my pub Sundays. Nothing like trying a new pub out, having a roast, a few pints, and cleaning the mashed potatoes and roast beef off the walls after my 3 year old daughter decides she’s engaged in enough civilized behavior for one day…
The Black Pig is a superb pub with a mouth-​watering menu. The roast beef with Yorkshire pud is very near perfection, with major respect to the chef for his gravy (I’m a total gravy buff, I always attack my roasts armed with an extra jug of gravy). I also tried the roast pork; cooked absolutely perfectly with a nice big chunk of beautifully roasted and spiced crackling. My sister’s lucky to have gotten away with any at all…
They’ve got a parking lot around the back, which is convenient considering that parking in T Wells is one of those circle-​round-​for-​hours-​hating-​life type of experiences…
BBQs every Sunday evening in the beer garden, definitely giving that a go. I peeked a look at the BBQ menu, first thing on offer: «Bunny Burger»! They’ve got my attention and my business! Now how do I explain that to my daughter…

Fantastic restaurant. The service is great (you can book online which makes things easy). The menu is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Previously a bar it has retained the old bar where you can come in for a drink. The style is rustic and similar to an upmarket gastropub.
Lovely for dinner. Plenty of space for eating, the tables are quite far apart which is nice. They have an excellent selection of food and wine.
