The Hotel Balmoral

Great small hotel in Torquay, as a single traveller i really enjoyed the hotels warm friendly homely atmosphere. Alex could not do enough to help me recommending various places of interest and some great walking paths close by including a coastal walking path into the Torquay harbour which was fantastic, even better there was a bus stop directly outside which i used most days to link to the surrounding area. Room was spacious and clean and bed comfy with all the facilities you would expect. Ate in the hotels restaurant for the last few days of my stay and wish i had booked dinner bed and breakfast initially it was very good indeed. Good gardens to sit out in the afternoon to enjoy a cream tea overlooking the sea which needless to say i did on more than one occasion. Already planning another break to Devon at the hotel balmoral, and talking with other guests staying this is not unusual there where plenty of guests who mentioned they had stayed more than once. Enjoyed our stay, attentive staff, great food and a short walk to meadfoot beach. Relaxing 4 days stay would definatly return again excellent value. Short walk into town from hotel but hill is steep on return
