Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Torquay. Great service, able to seat large groups and really good atmosphere. Wait times for food aren’t too high and neither are the prices. Perfectly situation up from the hardbourside for a night out afterwards(if you didn’t eat too much!). Great place for birthday parties or just group nights out — they also do take out.

This has got to be one of the most friendly restaurants I have visited. They were extremely good with the two young children. Making them a special free drink at the end of the meal. Also provided free drinks at the end to my wife and I. My wife felt that the food wasn’t on par with the restaurant we use in Redditch(See Redolence Spice). I enjoyed mine, and the jafrezi was very hot, just like I like it. The mixed kebab starter wasn’t as spicy, and the lamb was quite tough. Nevertheless, on average I did enjoy my meal. My wife’s opinion is that it was a step back in time to the 70’s for Indian restaurants. The reviews for the Maha Bharat are all good on other sites. Hence the reason we went to this restaurant. My wife said she would have liked to have gone to the Bombay Express.
