I was a little dubious that the chef wasn’t the chef I was expecting (it was his day off)… But wow that was some steak I had me there! 2 4 £10! Bargain! I like my steak cremated and the chef — although he probably thought I was nuts, did the steak exactly how I wanted it! I had eaten at Beefeater the monday, before eating at Camelot — I had a steak and the meal came to £10.99! AND it wasn’t cooked to my superior taste requirements so CAMELOT to me you BEAT BEEFEATER everytime !! Thanks for such a delicious meal :) I will be returning and we will drink something other than tap water this time ;)

Great little themed restaurant. The quality of food isn’t fantastic, but for the price and the portion size who cares! I’ll challenge anyone for finish a full back of ribs with chips and veg for a little over £12.

We first tried Camelot Mediaevel Themed Restaurant, last summer (2008), for lunch.
It is not as good as the now dearly missed Mad Meg’s Mediaevel Restaurant, in Exeter, but it was still quite good.
The prices are reasonable, and I opted for the half roasted chicken, (generous portions) with an ice cold San Miguel. As it was a lovely summer’s afternoon, we sat by the window. Would recommend it.

Ok so if you like the themed meal experience and enjoy being in the hub of stag/​hen heaven then this is definitely the restaurant for you. Let’s be honest the life size armour suited model chained to the wall outside DOES set the mood!
