Wonderful food. Has an enormous shoulder of lamb. We asked to sit in the ‘dining room’ area, which was lovely and I would recommend. Enjoy!

Lovely pub, very good food and attentive staff. I couldn’t wait for a nice roast dinner today — with the hot weather we’ve had over the past few months we’ve totally fallen out of the Sunday roast routine. Today was a great reintroduction: crispy roasties, pink roast beef and a perfect yorkie. I finished off with a lovely milk chocolate torte and macchiato. The staff were friendly, attentive and cleared away plates promptly. Only slight negative was the presence of several wasps who seemed to be bothering everyone in the conservatory.

What a fabulous find! nestled in the country between Igtham and Tonbridge this fabulous pub is a delight to all the senses. There are some great walks. you can park up, enjoy a lovely long walk in the country and then get all cosy. inside or out, and enjoy the feast of a menu or choice at the bar. The roast is amazing and they serve all day until 9pm on a Sunday. There are lots of tables so plenty of space. A gorgeous garden and even a conservatory dining area. We really enjoyed this on Sunday … little hangovers … great peaople watching, hair of the dog and filling our bellys. Im looking forward to going again!

The is a fantastic pub — a warm haven on cool autumn days or a nice place to sit and relax on a summers day. There are a couple of walking tracks close by and we have been for a hearty meal after a walk around the surrounding countryside. The food also is excellent — we were impressed with how fresh everything was and the selection(it was difficult to choose what to have) Anyway I would recommend it and would be happy to return.

We had such a warm welcome here. The pub is beautiful inside, plenty of atmosphere. We were late going in but we were assured that it wasn’t a problem. It was one of those menus that you want to try everything on. We weren’t disappointed. My sons eyes lit up when he saw the generous portion sizes. We will definely be visiting again. There is also a lovely beer garden that is set away from the main road. Well worth a visit.

Lovely pub both for winter and summer. Food is served daily including Sunday nights! The menu serves everything from posh sandwiches to big roasts and specials daily from a blackboard; as well as yummy desserts. There’s a big garden area and also a covered courtyard area with patio heaters, so you can still get that outdoor feeling inside. It’s nearly always busy, especially Sundays and Bank Holidays, etc. so a good idea to book. There are a few tables in the bar area which can’t be pre-booked, so you can just turn up, but you might have to wait for one to become free. Parking can be tight, but you can park safely across the street and walk over. A really nice setting and very friendly staff. (They do mints with coffee too, so that deserves an extra star!)

I used to work behind the bar here. Haven’t been there in ages, but I remember it as a great resaturant with some decent accommodation and a cosy bar where you’d get a mix of locals, day-trippers and ramblers. Great pride was taken in the quality of the Harveys bitter served and I have fond memories of spiking the barrels in the cellar and then stepping to one side as a jet of bitter shot from barrel to cellar ceiling.
