Overall my husband and I have found the store crowded and the staff, when you can find one, disinterested in the customer, preferring to chat amongst themselves. Bargains good when you can find them, although the sale racks near impossible to browse and packed in too tight with other ranges. Sale racks seem lower quality at times.

I find Debenhams very very expensive unless your lucky enough to bag a bargain in the sales! The store is large enough but nothing like the one in Bristol. The café is ok but pricey, althought I’m relieved the toilets are always clean and FREE. There’s been many a time my little one’s been taken short and they’ve come in handy! Overall I find the staff a little stuffy(depending on the department) and quite forceful in others(make up dept) I guess this is just not really the shop for me.

Debenhams is a department store over 3 floors. We were there in February and there was a theme of weddings going on. Cake makers, Car hire, a jazz band also local radio station Orchard FM was broadcasting and were holding a competition. They have a little section for gifts and gadgets. On the top floor there is a household department, with kitchen and bedding items, and a little café for tea or lunch.

This is a great department store and has everything you need such as clothes, perfume, cosmetics, underwear and household goods. My favourite section is on the lower ground floor and it is where they have the younger style female clothes with shops like Oasis, Dorothy Perkins and Warehouse, they have great sales on in here and it is well worth coming in for a rummage. This is also where I had my wedding list when I got married. They provide a great wedding list service where they send you off around the shop and you can scan everything you want for wedding presents then people register on-line for gifts and Debenhams send it all to you at the end, it couldn’t be easier and was great fun!

As Debenhams go, this is quite a small one and so doesn’t have all their ranges. However, it has small versions of all their departments: ladies, mens, childrens, homeware, underwear, jewellry, shoes and make up. It also has a nice café and is probably the best place for toilets in Taunton. There are also baby change facilities here.

This is a very small Debenhams as previous reviewers have said. The basement has a few concessions like Jane Norman and Oasis, but the main body of the store is a very light range of goods from each of the departments you would expect. For picking up the occassional thing, fine, but if it’s a good day’s shopping you’re after you’re probably better off driving to Bristol or Exeter.

In Debenhams they sell Jane Norman, Oasis, Pineapple, John Rocha, Julian MacDonald, etc. All of these shops and more are over three floors. The often have blue cross sales, where you can pay up to half price.

I like this branch of Debenhams, particularly the basement fashion floor. I usually shop here after Christmas when I have vouchers to spend and enjoy shopping for clothes and looking around the branches of Oasis, Warehouse, Dorothy Perkins, Jane Norman and Red Herring in this store. There are usually bargains to be found. It has a reasonable restaurant on the top floor which does cheap meals and has a view over the park behing the store.
