Bathpool Inn

I took my family in to the bathpool for a meal, we were greated by a bar maid with piercings all over her face with a terrible attitude. all the staff were more interested in fooling around with each other. on ordering food the menu seemed the same as it has been for years. we waited 45 mins for food even though the place was worryingly quiet. the meals were very bland and the lasagne was so dry we had to lace it with tomato sauce. We will not be going back and we thought it was very overpriced. we raised our concerns with what i now no to be the landlord who just stood there with a blank face who appeared to be unable to talk. on leaving my wife noticed that the scores on the door sign which has to be on the front door was missing. we later found out that the bathpool inn failed to even score 1 star out of 5. how this pub is still aloud to cook bad food beats me. it is all on taunton deane web site.

Last April, we were a party of six bikers coming from Bath at the end of an exhausting day (bike broke down, biker badly burnt…) and we found this place at the right time. We are French — and I guess we are very peculiar about food. This place is amazing: plenty of food, pleasant decorum and nice service. We’ve heard the owner has changed so I guess it makes all the difference ! Good luck to him/​her… and we’ll be back next March with our whole families and a few friends (that should be a party of 20 with the kids). We do recommend this place !!

The Bathpool Inn is in Taunton and, as the name says, is in Bathpool. It has a large car park and a play area for children out the back. Inside they sell all types of traditional English food. It is very expensive for what you get, and is often burnt. There are a lot of other better pubs in Taunton. They sometimes have football matches on sky that you can watch. The drinks are becoming increasingly expensive. The food takes a ridiculously long time to come, and when it does, is often very disappointing. If you come to Taunton I would ot recommend visiting here.
