Terrible customer service from the moment you call to the reception team!! It is a shame that is the only place around for ice skating classes otherwise would never go back!

Note for sellers– you need to get here early. 9.15am is probably good. This doesn’t guarantee a great spot but does give you half a chance to get set up before the clamoring masses descend on your car grabbing at everything. They even get in your boot and start opening boxes. Why ML do not let you in to set up as soon as you arrive and keep the buyers out until a set time is beyond me. You get a lot of people turning up and can sell a lot if you can put up with a huge amount of chavs and pikeys.

The link centre has a great variety of different leisure activities. Some of these include the Ice rink, gym, Swimming, climbing wall and even 5 a side football. There is easy access to the link centre and it is located right next to the west swindon Asda. Plenty of parking and it does have disabled access. You can also get a great discount if you have a swindon card or join up the the gym (gives you access to other gyms like oasis). Where you can go ice skating for free!

Car boot sale on Sundays only throughout the year. A very busy market with loads of sellers and buyers. Get there early if you’re selling — you can set up from about 10.00 onwards. Also if you’re buying best to get there early. A good selection of stalls and good to go to a boot sale where the ground is firm underfoot even when it’s wet.

The Link Centre in Swindon is a leisure pool in West Swindon. It is only about a mile from junction 16 of the M4 motorway. There is plenty of free car parking available. Inside the LInk Centre, you will find an ice rink, sports halls, a library, a café, a childrens play area, a swimming pool, a climbing wall and a gym. There is something there for all the family. If you want to attend a group activity, there is plenty of choice available. You could have ice skating lessons for example. The ice rink is the home of the Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey team.

The link centre offers a great variety of leisure activities — both indoor and outdoor. Activities include, football (5-​a-​side), swimming, table tennis, badminton, climbing wall, gym and ice rink just to name a few. The link centre is located in the west Swindon district centre along with the shopping centre (with has an ASDA store). The link centre is an all-​in-​one facility with provides a great place for a number of fun and health/​fitness activities. It is well equipped, well maintained and well staffed. The prices are reasonable and the discounts are available for Swindon card holders (who pay an annual feel). The link centre is great for families and individual alike.

I have only ever used the Link centre for its swimming pool, which is gala size (25m with 6 lanes) and is great for swimming training.
The changing facilities have a lot to be desired, very small and cramped with not much locker space available.
There is an amazing climbing wall available here to all those climbers out there.
They also have squash courts and a large ice rink.
This is more of a competitive sports centred leisure centre than a fun day out kind of place. If you want to train/​exercise, this is the place to be.

The link centre is great for people who like to ice skate as it has a pretty good sized ice skating rink. The swimming pool is good for people who just want to swim laps but for those wanting a fun day out a swimming pool the oasis is probably better.

The link centre in Swindon is a great place. I used to have a cross trainer which was amazing value for money. It cost me £20 a month, and I could use it for unlimited swimming, ice skating, gym, and even swimming at other swimming pools in swindon. There is a café in the link centre, which sells the best hot chocolate ever. The ice rink is really good, and a great place to socialise. It’s always packed on the weekend. The swimming pool is average, nothing special, but good value for money. The location of the link centre is great, it is surrounded by asda, blockbuster, various banks, chip shops etc. And is near a busy bus stop which makes it easily accessible for everyone in swindon.

My boys attended the Hi5 Kids club in the holidays and were very impressed — they were allowed to use most of the facilities — so it felt like a treat for them not a childcare solution!
The ice rink is home to Swindon Wildcats ice hockey team. Another reason to visit!
