We visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago with our family members. As I am disable the facility’s were excellent a lift to the restaurant ground floor. Plenty of room for seating and very friendly staff. The choice of foods were brilliant you are spoiled for choice and very good value. You need to book in advance very popular.

I love Cosmos, although admittedly sometimes my eyes are too big for my stomach(this tends to happen at all buffets I go to, unfortunately). NOTES: ~ This review is based on my experience on a Saturday night, so it was relatively busy. Ambiance: This place is really clean and fancy. It could get pretty crowded so I recommend calling ahead to make a reservation if need be(for large parties). Thankfully, I only had a party of 2 so it was pretty easy to accommodate and needed to wait only about 15 minutes or so. On the inside, with all the glitz and glamour, Cosmo is definitely made for a special night out to treat yourself every now and again. Customer Service: From what I’ve seen, before you go in while you’re still in the queue, they could get a bit short with you and impatient. However once you finally sit down, the staff is attentive and respectful. I guess just grit your teeth through the service until you finally get in? Food: This is why I love Cosmo. It goes for a pan-Asian Fusion experience with cuisine from all around the world — Chinese, Indian, etc. I’m a huge fan because I’ve been seriously lacking authentic non-Chop Suey Chinese food in Swansea and Cosmo definitely delivers. My recommendations: ~ Potstickers. They’re little nuggets of meat wrapped in flour and pan-fried. Delicious and juicy on the inside. The chef here does some of the best potstickers I’ve had! ~ Duck w/Pancakes. Get it with Hoisin Sauce(a brown slightly sweet thick sauce), cucumber, and wrap it all up in a pancake. Delicious! ~ They make really really good battered chicken on a stick. ~ The queue for large dishes such as the lobster, salmon, etc takes a VERY long time so it depends whether or not you want to go. It’s really well made though and fresh. ~ Get the dim sum. They’re in round wooden containers and the custard buns are delicious. I’d definitely come here again.

Went to Cosmos at lunch time, it was £6.50 for the buffet and I was really impressed. The food wasn’t just your typical british-asian food, there were some more interesting authentic dishes, I’m honestly sick of asian restaurants and takeaways serving a version of asian food that couldn’t be farther from the real thing. There was a wide selection of Indian and Chinese food to choose from, I assume there is more of a selection in the evening too. The food wasn’t 5⁄5 but it was definitely what I’d expect when I’m paying £6.50. The drinks are quite expensive, however beer is at a relatively normal price which is a positive! Overall I’d come here again, in fact I look forward to it and trying out the other options they have.

Well, if you like your Asian /Indian /Chinese /Cantonese and just about any food, and are prepared to battle with loads of other Diners, to eat as much as you like, as quick as you can, within the 1 hour and 45 Minutes they allow you to stuff your face as full as possible. Then this place is for you, at a reasonable price of only £6:95 in the afternoon, but don’t expect anything special in this newly opened venue, which is VERY busy nowdays. Its just a LOT of different food styles, all thrown together under the title of «Theatre for Food«banner, which sound a much better ploy on food than it actually is. My opinion is, if you are passsing, and there is no queue, pop in and see what its like in there, and make your own mind up, but don’t expect anything special food wise, although the venue itself looks quite spectacular on your first visit.

Visited here on a Friday night, understandably one of their busier nights of the week. My best friend had advised me to book a table for this reason and I did so online, it was confirmed on the website and I left it at that — this was about 2 – 3 days before. Fast forward to Friday, we arrived to a huge crowd outside and a lady with a clipboard asking if we had a reservation. I said yes and we were told to join the queue inside. The thing with Cosmo is, you pay before you go down to the restaurant. This takes some time, especially if there’s loads of you and so we were queueing for a good 15 minutes before we made it to the front. I said we’d booked, was asked for my name and then silence. Apparently there was no record. I said I’d done it online 2 days ago. This was resolved quite quickly, we paid and went downstairs to be met with… another queue. We were second in line when a man with a clipboard came up and asked if we’d booked, when I said yes and gave my name he, a little aggressively, told me that we weren’t on the list. I said we’d just gone through this upstairs, which he apparenty knew about. When I said I’d booked online, he pretty much insinuated that the website is a sham site. Which was reassuring. Anyway, onto the food. What a choice. There’s everything you could imagine under one roof. Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Thai etc… you can order drinks at the table or at the bar, but be warned if you do order at the table, you are expected to pay as soon as the bill comes — even if you are mid mouthful. Booking fiasco aside, it is a nice place. You’d never have guessed it used to be the shoe section of the former David Evans store! It’s reasonably priced, the food is anyway — I kind of resent paying 3 quid for a tiny glass of Archers & lemonade! But I think steep drink prices are what you have to expect when you’re paying £12.99 to eat as much as you like!
