As part of the frighteningly complex process of applying for an American visa, you are now required to upload a passport photo of yourself to their official website. The instructions on how to take an appropriate photo ran to 2.5 pages with photos! So I chickened out and decided to put myself in the hand of professionals. It’s increasingly difficult to find places which take passport photos but the Snappy Snap shops still offer this service. They also open early, which is useful if you work and want to pop in before work. The lady who dealt with me was knowledgeable and put my mind at rest with her confidence with knowing the requirements for the visa photo. She also took a few snaps to get a good shot. It cost me £25 for 2 physical prints and a CD with the precious digital image to upload. I had to reduce the resolution at home as the file size was initially too big but it did go through in the end. Thank you, Snappy Snaps, for reducing some of the stress of applying for my visa
