Situated right next to Baker’s Lane Fish Bar and a Chinese Takeaway, this tiny convenience store is a handy place to pick up a few mid-week essentials if ever you’re stopping by collect a takeaway. As a regular shopping destination, however, I would not recommend the place. Due to its small size, stock is very limited and you’re unlikely to come across what you need, especially if you’re after pet food or frozen products, as both of these are remarkably scarce. The store is clean inside and the staff are welcoming and polite, but prices really aren’t great and many products look as if they’ve been lifted straight out of a pound shop, then put on sale at higher price. I paid £1.65 for a 4 pint carton of Creamfields milk on my most recent visit. Convenience stores usually tend to undercut big-name supermarkets on milk prices, but I know for a fact that Kingstanding Tesco sells this exact same product for £1.
