Frankie and Bennys

I do enjoy Frankie & Bennys and this particular restaurant was great. Fast friendly service with a smile, great food and plenty of choice, ooh and happy hour on the cocktails too… bonus. We called in here on the spur of the moment and were not disappointed. I will definitely come back.

Frankie &bennys is great for a chain restaurant. Food is consistently good, hot, tasty and rapid, service is always friendly but not in a smarmy «I want a tip» kind of a way, but genuinely freindly, always. I love the cool music that is always playing, never too loud, always old rock n roll, beach boys type, although today we had some Christmas tunes from the rat pack. It’s American Italian, now American is not one of the worlds great cuisines, but Italian is, so a good selection of pizza, pastas, wraps, burgers and steaks. Frankie and Bennys is what it is, fast American and tasty, it’s a great choice for us tonight as a midweek meal before we go grocery shopping (busy weekend, chores neglected) it’s close to home being in merry hill shoppng centre, it’s reasonably priced, 3 meals and 3 drinks, including my Long Island ice tea cocktail, less than £50 the cocktail menu is great too, tonight’s service was super fast, we ordered drinks on arrival and they was on our table within moments, but I think we got lucky tonight, it’s more usual to wait ⁵⁄₁₀ mins. If there is a wait for a table waiting at the bar is nice, they always under promise and over deliver on waiting times anyway. The only reason I didn’t give 4 stars is the cutlery always seems bent and unbalanced and like it’s been used to dig an escape tunnel.

Simply the best Italian food ive ever tasted. Especially the black pepper mayo buger. Me and my girlfriend loved it.

I am used to better service from Frankie and Benny’s but the restaurant in Merry Hill is not one I’d like to visit again. We ordered some hot chocolate, all of them were only just lukewarm. I queried this and was told by the waitress that to her it felt ‘very hot’ and that it was made with ‘boiling hot milk’.
That was clearly complete rubbish but we were treated badly in general. It’s a shame as the previous week we had a nice pasta meal there and that was the reason we returned.
It’s a shame that something as simple as a cold hot chocolate followed by stubborness was enough to turn me away from this place and that the attitude from staff was so ridiculous. I’d recommend giving this place a miss!

This New York Italian resturante is fantastic the food is authentic and the staff very friendly with quick sevice. The atmosphere is great and music from the ‘oldies’ is played throughout, you even get an Italian lesson in the loo! I’d recommend to anyone thinking of celebrating a Birthday to book here as they decorate your table and will serve your cake for you.
