Was I ever lucky in England — «I don’t mean that kind of Luck» I actually met a very nice white haired olde man on the train to visit the Potteries in Stock-on-Trent. It turned out he was the 3rd generation and current owner of one of the oldest British Toffee Manufacturers in England, it is still family owned and operated. The owner Ian Walker personally invited me to visit his manufacturing shop on Calverly Street for a free tour and some sampling of his Toffees. I had to help the little olde man off the train when we got there, but his daughters Emma and Katie were there to collect him, and they personally took me along with them so I could see everything first hand. I never had so much fun and learned so much about Toffee making and I must say that I tasted what I thought was a bit of Heaven in a foil wrapper, the toffee’s just about melted in my mouth, they still make turn of the century toffee the olde fashion way, and they use only the finest and most natural ingredients in the recipe, I will for always treasure my meeting Mr. Walker and his family, and will go to any lengths to get Walkers Toffee’s where ever i am,
