Frankie & Benny’s UK

Have been to this place a couple of times and found it alright nothing special. The staff can be moody sometimes but you get your food and drinks. Typical of F&B décor and the manager seems amicable and friendly. Wouldn’t be my first choice in the leisure park but then haven’t really been in the evening.

We awalys go here when it’s our girls birthday as they love the bear that comes out to see and dance with them? The food is always lovely and drinks are ok. The toilets seem to be clean and the table set outs are always clean and tidy. The staff there seem friendly and helpful to us. The best dish that we have had are the hoi sin sauce chicken wings and last time went they never had none. That was disappointing for us. But we found out to have something familular to it. The girl love the food and pizza there, and hot dogs. We shall always go there, even when it’s not there birthdays we still seem to go in the week or a weekend there. April 2012.

The standard F&B’s layout, we came here as a group of 5 on a Saturday night. While packed, the service was good and friendly. If in the area again would definitely consider coming back. You know what you’re getting from this chain of restaurants so is always a safe choice.

I guess no one really Unilocal in Stevenage/​Hertfordshire. It’s a surprise that I’m the first review because this place was so busy on a random Thursday night.
This «New York-American-Italian”-themed restaurant seemed like a huge stereotype of 1950s Americana. As an American, it was entertaining in a different way than all the rest of the people in the restaurant.
The food was normal. It’s what you’d expect in a Italian restaurant chain. In fact, the US has similar restaurants that look similar and serve similar fare (i.e. Applebee’s, TGI Fridays, etc.) In that sense, it made me feel like I was back in the US.
Interestingly enough, my favorite part of the meal wasn’t American at all. It was my Sticky Toffee Pudding. Yum!

Very tasty food. Excellent, friendly service. My only complaint is that the music was so loud it nearly made my ears bleed!

Pros This restaurant is located in Stevenage’s Leisure Park, next to the cinema and bowling alley. The restaurant is fairly large and has a good amount o seating and tables, and is decorated in typical frankie and Benny’s New York Italian style with booths and benches. The waiting staff is friendly and competent, and were happy to help us and our picky tastes, and the ood was delicious and arrived quickly.
Cons It does get very noisy, especially when there are birthday parties– the birthday music which is played over the PA is very loud and intrusive and stops all conversation.

An american/​italian kind of place, nice food and good if you have a large party. I wouldn’t go of a weekend though because it gets really busy and the staff are rushed off their feet. Not badly priced and seems to be very clean.

This is a great restaurant and great food. It is always very busy, so worth booking in advance. You cant always come out of the cinema and expect to get a table straight away, but they have a good waiting system.
They have a person in a costume who comes out and dances to congratulations with the birthday person. At first this is amusing, but 4 times later you get a bit fed up of it.

This is your classic American/​Italian style restaurant. The food is ok but nothing to get really excited about. However, they do a very well priced lunch time menu.
My kids enjoy going here, but the big complaint I have is the service. I would be wary of going on a Friday or Saturday evening. It is very busy and I have waited up to an hour for my meal. That is frustrating enough for an adult, but try that with three hungry kidsnot fun.
Also when it is anyones birthday, they play Congratulation by Cliff Richard REALLY loudly. When you have heard it for the fifth time that night, it is a bit wearing.
So the food is ok, well priced, but don’t go at busy times.
