If you’ve never been to St. Ives you’re missing out. Three Jolly Butchers strikes me as a «local’s place», but the staff and patrons made our group feel welcome. The interior is surprisingly large, as is the expansive garden.

St Ives, on a fine summer day the very large open garden has more than enough room for the amount of people that visit including a large play area for children including a climbing-​frame swell. On a inters day there is a very warm and inviting open fire in the main bar /​restaurant with some very comfy sofas for relaxing in, the menu is varied and caters for a wide variety of tastes including vegetarian, and yes there is obligatory Sunday roast which would feed the heartiest of appetites. All in all this is a traditional pub with good fine fare that accepts children and dogs with no troubles at all.
