This is a good place to come if you want to enjoy some Fish and Chips in a more civilized manner. If you’re not a big fan of fish, however, you will probably find the menu to be a little limited. The salad bar is good though. This is half pub, half restaurant. The pub part is very forgettable as there doesn’t seem to be a permanent member of staff at the bar and the drinks range is very limited. I guess it is more about the restaurant, where the service is very friendly.

This is an excellent Fish and Chip shop, and my 2nd favourite in Cornwall. The portions are enormous, which is good. The quality of the cod is as good as it gets. Be warned however this Fish and Chip shop in Summer gets really really busy and for good reason. It is quite funny during the summer months spotting the locals on first name terms with the staff especially the chief fryer, along with the rest of the customers who are tourists who normally are the majority eating at that time of year.

One of the best, if not the best, fish and chip takeaways in Cornwall — and even better, a restaurant attached! Open Thurs-Sat evenings during the winter, their takeaways are delicious — from the slightly greasy, but not too greasy, chips, to the delicious burgers and fish. Even their sides of generic mushy peas, curry sauce or gravy taste delicious slathered over the top of these chips! Order your fish, pie or burger on arrival, and relish in the aromas as the lively chef cooks to order. Reasonably priced too. Would thoroughly recommend! Take your chips down to Carbis Bay beach and enjoy.
