Bar Bullion

me ans my girls go here on every night out to have a few shots and get us on the way to drunkeness: D!!!

I used to go in here with friends when I was a bit younger. I will need reminding why. The place is a dive. There is nothing wrong with it per sae, other than it being small, cramped, sweaty and dirty-​ish.
The staff are fine and there is regular karaōke in the place — even sometimes during the day when you are walking past doing some shoppping you can hear people murdering meatloaf.
The bar is unusual in that it is the only bar in St. Helens that I can think of that is below street level. You have to go through a narrow entrance and down a flight of stairs before you can reach the main bar area. I think that this is the only way in (even for staff) and so probably rules out access for disabled and wheelchaired people.
The price is beer is quite cheap so it isnt totally bad. However, the cheap beers attracts yet more scallys and old drunks and their hyperactivity has lead to the floor being sticky most of the time.
