I can’t say enough good things about this place. Excellent deli, excellent casual restaurant, great service and lovely people! I love coming here!

This place came at the recommendation of a colleague who lives in St. Albans. Having been raised in the Itlaian neighborhoods of the NY suburbs, I have relatively high standards for an Italian deli. And this is a great little deli.
The locals seem to flock to this place pretty frequently. The owners new customers by name (always a great sign), and there was a line when we got there (which moved quickly).
Plenty of pastas, paninis, antipastas, and more. We placed a massive order for 5 people and sat outside. Everything was delivered quickly and we ate while reaching our forks over each other’s plates to make sure everything was tried, and nothing was missed.
I didn’t spend too much time looking, but there is a little shop as well which offers different sauces, pastas, etc. for purchase. They all look delicious, and great for a gift basket.

Fantastic Italian Deli in St Albans! Quite a large interior, home made foods and take away or sit-​in foods which give the deli that bit extra something! Also a grocer’s.
A great, large selection of authentic italian food products; pasta’s, large salami’s, cheeses, Italian jams, juices, ice-​cream, biscuits, …the produce is well stocked and maintaing its freshness well.
There is an outside seating area and small inside seating area, the deli is fairly large as far as deli’s go which provides a calmer relaxed atmosphere to go food shopping.
More of a community style deli, more upbeat, and not pretentious as one may find within central London parts.

Lovely little authentic Italian deli with seating inside and out to sip the great coffee.

More recently this great italian deli has expanded to add seating to allow you to sit inside and have one of their excellent sandwiches and a coffee. The vegetarian ciabatta I had included artichokes and blue cheese and olives. One thing to look out for is the spicy marinated olives, which are incredibly hot. At Christmas they do a range of hampers which would be great emergency presents.

Maybe the best food shop in St. Albans. Great selection of cheeses and cold meats. Huge variety of pasta and Italian delicacies. Fresh fruit and vegetables from the London markets chosen by the owner Tony. Oh yes and fresh delicious bread daily. Definitely worth a visit for the food and the friendly service.

Lovely little Italian store, selling absolutely everything Italian. All dry goods, wide deli selection, wines etc and quite reasonably priced… Sometimes cheaper than the supermarkets! Try the ciabattas sandwiches made to order, my favourite is Il Nordo.
