I came to Southwold on a whim with family today. Funny enough, my uncle told me there was a lovely café he wanted to takes to, but neglected to say it was inside a brewery. I was just so excited to be able to see this wonderful location! There’s tons of things for everyone: beer, wine, or spirits! Not to mention, they have great deals on their beer. If you’re still unsure, they offer multiple tastings. I was able to try broadside, as well as a handful of their spirits. However, if that’s not your thing, the coffee shop makes an amazing americano and a stellar cappuccino! They also offer food if you’re hungry, or pastries if you’re just a bit peckish! The lemon cake is just lovely, so be sure to try that! Hopefully next time I’ll be able to tour the brewery as well!

Another year, another trip to Adnams! Sadly, there was no tour for me this year as I’ve been on both the beer and distillery tour, but I heard good things from those who did. The shop is one of the most standout things in Southwold; glass and light wood make up the exterior, and inside it’s vast and full of light. Here you can buy everything Adnams makes, and more — gin, oak aged vodka, sloe gin, broadside whiskey, a range of beers, glasses, tshirts, tea towels and more. You can take part in some tasting towards the back of the shop, or have a coffee and piece of cake in the café at the back. New products available include ginger beer and Fat Sprat beer. If you take part in the tour, you’re presented with a 10% discount, leading to us walking away with some sloe gin. Apparentley it’s great with prosecco — who knew? The checkout staff were lovely, even giving us some baking tips, and you always walk away with a smile on your face. A must do in Southwold!
