This Tesco store is quite a nice one, and of a good size considering it is an «Express» store, with a good number of Scan it yourself tills, to go alongside the main till where lottery and tobacco can be purchased. This store is opposite Southwark tube station, so it is very convenient for a commuter, to grab something while on their journey, with this Tesco store having a better range than others, I was pleased to find a good range of paracetamol here after struggling to find it elsewhere, including at the very horrible, narrow Westminister branch. As with it being an Express store, it does not have as many facilities, which you would expect from a larger store, but still does the job as a local, convenient store, which is great for commuters around Stratford station and nearby residents, who want to pick up something like milk perhaps. I did notice this store stock a good range of crisps, including the new Walkers range, where they have brought back a few flavours, I am gluten free so unfortunately could not try them, but they was some interesting flavours, which adds to a reasonable range of to-go food avaliable at this store. The store is quite nice, looking different and quite modern from other Tesco stores on the outside, and the store also was pretty clean, nice and modern on the inside. This is a nice Tesco store and good size, and in a good location, especially because of its’ location directly opposite the tube station, so I do feel this place deserves 3 stars. As service was a little slow at the checkout, and this store being just above average for an express store.

I visited London a few weeks ago and we were conveniently staying around the corner from this Tesco supermarket. I was unfortunately unwell for most of the trip, however this particular Tesco became my lifesaver. My appetite sort of disappeared and I only felt like eating fruit and the occasional crisp and popcorn. Tesco provided all sorts of fruit containers which were amazing and I happily ate them all week — my favourite was the watermelon, rockmelon and pineapple combo. You can also get fresh coconut or apple chunks, depending on what fruits you like. They were priced at £2−3, which I thought was great! They also sell frozen meals, fruit and vegetables, cold drinks, wine and beer, a range of snacks, dairy products and sweet treats. I even saw Collective NZ yoghurt — how cool! My favourite products were their takeaway salads and meals, fresh fruit and the Proper Popcorn packs. But the best thing was their ice creams. On our last night, we had frozen Mars Bars and Snickers ice creams which we don’t have in New Zealand. They were so creamy and delicious!!! Service was always friendly when we visited, which made us keep coming back. If you’re staying in the area, then I highly recommend you come here as they have great stock!
