A decent local Indian restaurant, although small, even when packed, you still feel like you’ve got room to breathe. The dishes here seem to be quite a bit milder than most other places I’ve been to,(for example, a Madras here is considerably mild compared to other restaurants), though that’s not to say that the food is bad; it’s quite good, as is the service, with the staff checking if your dish is to your satisfaction, or asking if you want the main dish altered in any way,(I always ask them to put extra spices in for me to give my dish a stronger taste). Very relaxing, and well lit,(but not too strongly), and very comfortable indeed, this restaurant is highly recommended to someone who wants to try Indian cuisine out, but isn’t sure exactly how hot/spicy they want it. On-street parking is mostly available, but is a small car-park near the end of the road.

This is an amazing Indian restaurant in Thorpe Bay Broadway. It is usually easy to park in the road outside, or failing that there is a car park at the top of the road. The quality of the food is genuinely outstanding. This is not as big a restaurant as some locally, but creates a relaxing environment that makes for a good night out. The service is prompt and the staff are attentive and friendly, providing advice both when asked for and when not(e.g. when I was pregnant suggesting I had a dish with lots of ginger as it would be good for a woman in my condition!) The restaurant also does charity nights and again there is no compromise on food quality or service, even when the restaurant is completely full.
