Great for pure cheese

Went there for the opening night and had so much fun with my friends. Drinks are cheap, atmosphere great. Highly recommended place!

As anyone who regularly reads my reviews will know, I’m not a nightclub kinda gal. It’s not that I’ve outgrown them (although I should have by now!), it’s just I’ve never been a fan of that whole environment.
However, on occasion, I get dragged along to one with a group of friends and I always hope that I will have a great time. I had fairly good expectations for this one, an 80’s nightclub has to be a great opportunity to listen to fabulous cheesy songs and have a good giggle. We accessorised the night with 80’s fancy dress and hair crimping. If I could rate the hair and the outfits alone it would be a definite five star experience! I did have fun but that was purely down to being out with a great group of friends. Unfortunately, the club ticked all the wrong boxes for me — primarily, it was hot and sweaty, the floor was so sticky I kept losing my shoes, and the bar smelt of vomit!
We were all ID’d on the way in, I’m not going to pretend that this was because we looked under 21, more a general door policy. I found the door staff quite rude and actually aggressive to other customers.
The drinks were reasonably priced for a night club, but if it wasn’t for the great tunes and an excuse to dress up, this would be a rare one star rating from me. Time to hang up my dancing shoes me thinks!

If you don’t like 80’s music don’t come here. Easy as pie

not the place to go if you dont like 80’s music. no chance of modern songs so no point if thats what u want. but very very fun nights out, wear lots of neon, has a tall steel pole on a dance deck to have fun with. cheap drinks tues nights for student night, karaōke and other theme nights are very common also. dj’s a good laugh and everything is colourful so the mood is always good. just had a refurb so is more swish than before.

i dont get it, i just dont get it! why would anyone want to go out in 2009 (nearly) and voluntarily listen to EIGHTIES music all night long, WHY? OK so dressing up in neon 80s attire COULD be fun, but im one for music that was produced within the past couple of decades! i find the amount of students who are really into it disturbing! Anyway, as for inside, the décor is ok, it does just feel like one big room rather than a actual club. The staff are fairly freindly although they r under alot of pressure and also the toilet areas are pretty disgusting! stinks of wee constantly. anyhoo, ok place, if your stuck in the eighties!

Great place for 80s music cheese. If you are into that sort of thing. Downside is the toilets do get a bit messy by the end of the night, I wish they would sort that out. Good atmosphere.

This club is definately for a certain niche. Its a great club if you’re into 80’s music, which I am. Very large and spacious with a young clientele. The bouncers are very strict though and you’ll feel safe within the premises. If you’re a disco queen or simply like grooving to a bit of Kylie, get on down there!

Southampton’s 80’s offering, located in a damn fine place in bedford place! Always popular here, everyone loves an 80’s mash up, and the queue outside to get in surely proves this.
Once inside it has a glitzy mirror ball warehouse feel to it, with no expense (spared??) no, just no expense full stop! Please will someone spend a little and sort out the toilets here, after climbing mount everest to the loo’s, it’s a quick pee and go as you dont really want to be in there too long before you start gagging.
Cheap ish drinks make for a good night, and the atmosphere and attitude is usually good and well behaved. This place is great for pleasing most really, so get on your eye makeup (boys) and glitz up your heels (girls) and have a good night out.

For what it is, Reflex is brilliant. 80s cheesy music constitutes the vast majority of the music and the atmosphere is brilliant.
The only thing that lets it down is the mass of people milling around the bar, you can wait over ½ hour to even get served

Very very popular bar in Southampton, very good music, excellent atmosphere! Just a couple of downsides, the queue to get in can get very long so get there asap, and toilets get busier and dirtier. But apart from that its great :)

If you love 80’s music, including 80’s cheeze, then this is the place for you! It has a real 80’s feel to it and is great to boogie on down!
Prices are comparable to other clubs in the area. Downstairs is the bar and dance floor, with loos and a balcony viewing and chilling area upstairs.
I was there recently and they played everything from Huey Lewis & The News, to Madonna, Wham, Guns & Roses with some good 80’s disco thrown in.
Great for a group of party people — they do Stag and Hen do’s and also fancy dress.
If you are a baby boomer or love 80’s cheeze its definitely worth a visit!
