My family have been going to the Agrabad sporadically over the last 10 or 15 years, and although we don’t go very often, when we do it’s always a nice enough experience. The staff are friendly, there is a good variety of food, and although they have a licensed bar, it’s also BYOB; which is always nice. There were 7 of us eating there last night, although some family friends turned up and sat on an adjacent table,(something that always seems to happen when I return to Birmingham) so the atmosphere was probably a little louder than normal. We ordered a range of curries and sides and shared them out tapas-style. On a side-note, if you don’t want to share but still want the variety, you can order one of the four Combos, which consist of 2 smaller portions of curry that compliment each other. The chicken tikka bhuna was a bit too spicy for my mom, so I swapped it for my very mild chicken balti. The lamb Sagwala was full of flavour, but had way too many onions in. Unfortunately the garlic & cheese naan was a bit bland and could have used more garlic and cheese… But the coconut rice was delish! I didn’t try anything else, but nobody seemed to be complaining so it must have been nice. The price was very reasonable, seven of us rolled out of there stuffed to the gills for just shy of £80.
