Excellent food. Great selection whether its off the menu or a carvery. I recommend the specials but a bit pricey.

Very nice family pub and reasonable priced and tasty food. Very nice :-)

Very economical, took ages to get seated (but it was very busy so that’s to be expected), but good choice of carvery meats and lots of veg. Not as nice as other carveries in the same chain, but better than some of its rivals.
Non-​carvery food is a pretty decent offering, and the pub sometimes offers live entertainment, making it a bit different from the average local.

not the best carvery around, find everything a bit dry and over cooked! good pub for a drink though nice and relaxed! they also have football and other sporting events on there. drinks are a bit over priced!

Lovely pub with a decent beer garden although nothing for the little ones to do. The food on the main menu was absolutely gorgeous — pricey and not fast — but still good value and worth the wait. I’ve never eaten off the carvery but it always smells mouth-​wateringly good. And the yorkshire puddings look as good as my mum’s.

I used to go here quite often as it had a Wackey Warehouse around the back and was a great place to take the kids for a play for 2 hours then go and enjoy a family meal.
I believe it changed hands a few years ago and closed the WW down. Since then I have only gone to the pub once for a carvery quite recently and it was a reasonable price £8 for adults and I think it was half price for kids (this was a Sunday). Food was a good quality and we were all pleased with our meals, however because of the closure of the indoor play centre it is not somewhere I would choose to go ahead of others nearby.
Nonetheless it is a nice place for a family Sunday lunch and will probably go there again around Christmas.

Went here in July for my nan’s birthday — we go every year and had appalling service. They do a cavery and 4 had that and 1 person ordered from the menu. All were eating cavery and 1 person waited 25 mins for menu food and that was after we asked! Other problems with how to order and cold food etc. So i rang and com[lained. Given a £40 voucher. Went back middle of sept, they knew we had complained before. But the management had changed and the staff were much better. Would now recommend this pub for a nice cavery — meal was £8.99 on a sunday, think they have a club for over 60’s in the week with discounts.
